We met in Australia, then survived a year and a half of long distance. When the world shut down, Josh moved to the Netherlands in the middle of Covid and started a business just to stay with Siena. Eventually, we got married in Aruba—the only country with open borders where both families could meet.
Two years later, we packed up everything and moved to Michigan with just a few thousand bucks, no car, no house, no jobs, and no plan except: figure it out.
So we did. We opened a business credit card, maxed it out on video gear, hit every networking event, and cold-called like crazy. Within a year, we paid off the debt and took home $75k. We were over the moon.
Then we hired a business coach who told us to stop networking and start running ads. So we dropped five figures to learn, spent six months testing, failing, and testing some more—until it finally clicked. One client. Then another. And another. Before long, we’d figured out how to turn every $1 we spend on ads into $20.
Now we’re a full-time team of five and growing. The same system we figured out for ourselves is now what we build for other Michigan business owners—so you can skip the wasted years (and wasted cash) of trial and error.

I never thought of myself as an entrepreneur — not until I was faced with two choices during Covid: be deported from the Netherlands, or find a way to stay.
Ironically, the only path I could (make myself) qualify for was the Entrepreneur Visa, which meant starting a business from scratch.
To pull it off, I had to navigate a foreign legal system in another language, overcome countless catch-22’s, and execute relentlessly until I gained residency.
Through that experience, I discovered my greatest strength: breaking down overwhelming complexity into clear, solvable problems — then doing whatever it takes to win.
That mindset became the foundation of our business and how we serve our clients today:
Uncover bottlenecks. Discover solutions. Execute strategy. Deliver results.

Growing up in the Netherlands and now living far from my family has shown me that the most valuable thing we have is time. It flies by, and living in the moment is so important. That’s what drives me and why I love what I do. As we build marketing systems for business owners, we help them create more time for themselves, so they can step away from their business and share it with the people they love most.
born in The Netherlands | lived in the US for 2 years (and counting) | English is my second language | traveled to 28 countries | plays piano, guitar, ukulele | involved in theater for 6 years | youngest of 4 siblings | social butterfly | everything has to be "gezellig" (Dutch word for cozy)

When we're not filming ads or growing our team, we love exploring nature—hiking in any season or embracing the warm (and cold) waters of Lake Michigan. Our active spirit thrives on activities like rock climbing, pickleball, cold plunging, and capturing personal moments through our lenses.
We also enjoy slowing down—savoring coffee together, unwinding with movie nights, or relaxing with cigars and drinks by a backyard bonfire.
Authors like Alex Hormozi, Dan Martell, Sabri Suby, and Jim Collins have shaped much of how we approach business, growth, and leadership.

We see life as a journey rather than just a destination. Our lifestyle mirrors this—often venturing onto paths without knowing their end, much like diving into a long-distance-international relationship! That’s where the meaning behind "Wander" comes from. “North” provides direction to the word “Wander” and holds a personal touch, with Josh hailing from Northern Michigan and Siena from Northern Europe. We decided to drop the “e” in “wandr” to add a unique flair, symbolizing how everyone traverses life uniquely.
The blue in our logo reflects our physical location near Lake Michigan and the ocean, symbolizing the connection between the United States and the Netherlands. Plus, blue is Josh’s favorite color! Our logo coordinates lead to Mission Point Lighthouse in Traverse City—a landmark with personal significance. Situated at the 45th parallel, it's where we filmed our first YouTube video years ago and where we eloped in May 2021. These coordinates mark both Wandr North's inception and our physical base.
